Ah, Madonna’s “Live To Tell.” This song is not merely my favorite Madonna song; it is Madonna’s finest six minutes, period. Like much of the True Blue album, this song marks Madonna’s handling of more mature themes and reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. We definitely need another Madonna/Patrick Leonard songwriting collaboration!

p.s. - Despite how creepy or fake some people find Melissa Totten’s interpretations of Madge’s songs, I personally love her Hi-NRG takes of “Live To Tell”!
